Outdoor Hose Report - Browning Drizzle

A slightly drizzly evening as I hit the road off from work.  To save time on changing the shade of hosiery, I wore the "outdoor shade", Propeds Sheer Support pantyhose, Chocolate shade under work pants.  All I had to do was to convert my attire to casuals after work.  Had the black printed tee with Airism lounge berms, complete with Power walking shoes, anklesocked for this hosewalk.

The drizzle was light, yet a brolly is still needed.  After the change outside the boundaries of the "hostile area", I took the alternative route to another subway station.  Passed a few strangers along the way, before reaching the traffic junction.  While at the junction, I took the usual stance nearer to the road, without bothering who's going to look at my offskinshade hosed legs.  While crossing the road, I noticed there were much more commuters this time round.

Soon, I reached the other side of the road, still keeping the walk outside the building with brolly, for "extended hosed legs exposure" before entering shelter.  Passed by the very crowded junction outside the mall, through the underground passage.  This time, the sunnies were off when I'm wearing offskinshades even when the weather was sunny.

Stepped into the transiting metro after a short wait, after taking the non-express side of escalators.  Female commuters could be sensed standing behind me during these elevation routes but that didn't bother me.  No one gave an unusal look even though I walked through the brightly lit, less crowded transit metro hence I presumed everyone was just oblivious.

Walked through to the direct metro home and passed many people without any glances, boarded the crowded metro and soon, reached light rail.  Though it was cloudy, the sky was still bright as I walked home.  Past the traffic light, school kids, parents and some working class folks and soon I was home.

Outdoor Hose Report - Tanning it Softly

Another lesson day of the week so I went with a neutral shade to prevent unnecessary distraction.
Left on the dot as usual, changed into casuals, matched with Funfit Support Pantyhose in Suntan shade.  This was one of those with a mini toe seam area, which was not wide or deep enough to cover my toe area.  Pictures will be shared soon. Matched it off with khaki berms, default length with Power hiking shoes.

Made my way to the usual stall for a meal, and found a seat in the world of books where I could revise in comfort.  As the seats were facing away from the regular sitting benches, the visibility of my hosed legs were minimized.  This shade is a little bronzy and has a soft look from the yarn quality.
Walked to class earlier, with hosed legs seen visibly at traffic junction before nightfall and took up my usual seat.  As I took my regular seat in class, from the corner of my eye, I noticed my hosed legs looking a little tan in the dimmed lighting shielded by the classroom desk.  It was in full view from where my teacher stood/sat but she didnt notice.

Soon I was done with classes, and took the usual route back to the subway station, cutting through a mall.  The metro was crowded even when it was way past dinner time.  Took up the mid-cabin position throughout the journey and transited to the light rail.

Soon, I was walking home past the quiet pavements, home james.

Outdoor Hose Report - Chocolatey Hosed Down

Got up later than usual this morning and decided that I’ll go with the chocolate shade afater packing my stuff to get to work; the standard casuals for hoseout after work.  As my usual black sheers are done for the week, I decided to just keep the chocolate shades beneath my workpants and switch to them directly after work with casuals.

Did some lunch hour shopping and picked up a pair of very breathable capris, Uniqlo Airism blue camoflauge patterned loungewear, which will help a lot in the stuffy weather lately, and also as a replacement for garments in my wardrobe.  I had previously tried this on but didn’t quite like the length.  But after consideration of today’s attire match without having a need to reveal too much hosed legs, this length will do.

After work, changed ( at a Gents away from the “hostile area”) into my black printed tee and slipped on this pair of capris.  I had a pair of heavy built Power hiking shoes on so it’s going to deemphasize attention to my hosed legs.  Ankle socked today since the shoes do rise up to my ankles a little (and also in view of protecting hosiery from any possible rough edges in footwear).

Took my walk; to the nearby mall via an alternative route.  This time, I had no sunnies on and walked normally without bothering who’s going to look.  As I was at the traffic junction getting ready to cross the route, I stood nearer to the motorists who are stopped by the red light, just doing my stuff (randomly checking smartphone and looking around) till it was time to cross the road.  Passed several commuters of both genders, through the eatery-lined mall, and then in the open to the underground metro.  Kept my gaze in the direction of where I was headed to or just looking natural like anyone else, and soon, I was already down in the metro platform waiting for the transit line.  I took my usual position where commuters seated could see my hosed legs at eye level and boarded the metro when it arrived.

Male commuters were standing opposite or beside me in the intersection space I was in, but I doubt anyone was looking.  As I reached the transit station, which was a short walk to the connecting line, I overtook many and came across many oncoming commuters who were all engaged in their own activities.  Since the entrance was crowded at my usual spot, I had to enter another door which was less crowded.  As the train went on its journey and more commuters could be seen alighting, the sight of my chocolate hosed legs become more prominent via the empty space which widened before a bigger group of commuters boarded.  Through my observation, no one really bothered, so be it.

Soon I reached my station and transited to the light rail which will bring me to my home direct.  Hit the grocer’s, walking through the brightly lit store, got my stuff and paid at the self-checkout stations.  As the machine had some issues after I made payment, a female staff came forward to assist and everything went on as normal.  Took my purchases and walked back home, crossing the road, passing oncoming parents with their schooling kids, overtaking some female pedestrians and soon, home James.

Outdoor Hose Report - Possible Notice

Another busy day done with night classes, hence headed for dinner after the quick changeup, into Elegance Creations Support Tights, BE4 shade with pale red line berms, doublerolled up, complete with Flips Bare Classic Grey boat shoes.

Went to the world of books for my usual revision.  As the tables were usually occupied, I took the reading singular couch as it was of a more suitable position for reading/writing.  Althought the neutral white light illuminated my hosed legs well, everyone was engaged with their own reading, hence even though there were people walking past, none took notice.

Today's lesson required some description of our seatmates' attire, hence I got a little concerned as I have been hosing up for quite sometime since I started classes.  Anyhow, that section went by smoothly without my seatmate having to describe that garment I wore, or at least, it was unnoticeable.

Phew, what a closed, hosed shave; at the back of my mind I thought, no one probably will take notice.  As I was seated at the back row, exiting the class required me to walk through the narrow centre aisle, but even my female teacher and classmates didn't give any unusual glances when I moved out, hence I presumed it was all good.

Took the usual walk to the subway station passing crowds of late hour commuters and tourists, through the ride and then the slow walk home.  Everyone was as usual, engaged in conversations or their smart devices so there werent anything unusual.

Up the unoccupied elevator after the pavement walk, home James.

Attire-Hose Color (Offskintone Hosiery)

Hello guys, I’m back with the next part of this topic.
Skintone shades are generally easier to go about with anything.  Like the usual saying goes: ‘find a shade closest to your natural skintone’ works well for most of us, but for those who wish to optimize the full spectrum of what hosiery makers do, this will probably not apply.
In this part, we go to the “hose route less ventured” by most of us male hose wearers who are already comfortable and confident wearing skintone shade hosiery out with your berms or shorts.  Not forgetting those who cycle/jog with hosiery!
The offskin shades generally makes the legs stand out, so there are a few factors which we may want to consider when hosing out in these:
How brave are you?
What is the color look you want to portray (fashionastias come in!)?

I’ve learnt from a few experience male wearers that have done offskin shades confidently out, for example, Andreas, whose patterned offskin hosiery attire are simply awesome, especially for the conservative Asian society.  Check out his blog http://legwearfashionformen.blogspot.com

The idea I have here is to bring attention away from the legs rather than drawing to them, so white attire with black hosiery are definitely a no-no.  I’ll split into a couple of scenarios here for easier illustration:
Light Look
Propeds Sheer Support, Nutmeg, Smoky Pearl shade
For these pale shades hosiery, I’d match with the following attire:
Top:    Black Tee / Printed Black Crew Neck long sleeves with grey trims
Bottom:    Slimcut grey berms (default or rolled up depending on how much hosed legs you want to show)
Footwear:    Flips Bare Pin Stripe Denim boat shoes / CottonOn Emblem Grey Canvas loafers

Medium Look
Propeds Sheer Support, Chocolate
This shade is tricky hence I have only matched with the following so far during a trail:
Top:    Blue, Silver variant horizontal striped tee on black
Bottom:    Black with grey checked lines knee length cargos, default length.  Rolling up isn’t advisable in view of the hosiery shade
Footwear:    CottonOn Emblem Grey Canvas loafers

Dark Look
The darker shades in this spectrum consists of the following in my inventory:
Propeds Sheer Support, Sparrow, Shadow, Black
Womanderie Anti Embolism Pantyhose, Black

My best and probably the most daring was in the following attire with Propeds Sheer Supports in Black:
Top:    Blue, Silver variant horizontal striped tee on black
Bottom:    Su.Soku Seamless Ankle Length leggings, black
Footwear:    Power PlayOn slip on runners with neon linings

The last attire had a good way to bring attention away from the leg with the heavier and bulker looking shoes.

Attire-Hose Color (Skintone Hoisery)

Been talking more actively to like-minded male hose wearers in a common cyber community lately.  The topics range from correcting the Flickr hyperlink, leggings and color combination for attires with hosiery.
Today I’ll be a little more focused by talking about what I usually do when hosing out in public, attirewise.  As I’m not a fashionastia, my focus is usually on combination of colors on attire and foot wear to match the hosiery shade I wear out.  We’ll be sticking to the skintone spectrum this time round.
For example, if I’ve decided to look brighter on pale colors, the hosiery shade I’ll select will be in the Beige or identical range, which consists of the following hosiery:
Propeds Sheer Support / Elegant All Sheers, Beige Shade
Astigu Strength Support Pantyhose, Color 152
For these pale shades hosiery, I’d match with the following attire:
Top:    White muscle tee with grey trims
Bottom:    Pale blue linen berms (doublerolled up)
Footwear:    Wakai/Flips Bare Pin Stripe Denim boat shoes

Darker shade hosiery consists of the following in my inventory:
Propeds Sheer Support, Tan, Suntan
Propeds Elegant All Sheers, Suntan
Funfit Support Pantyhose, Suntan
Su.Soku Sheer Support Pantyhose, Color 803

For these pale shades hosiery, I’d match with the following attire:
Top:    Red  tee
Bottom:    Khaki berms with fine black dots (doublerolled up)
Footwear:    Wakai/Flips Bare Pin Stripe Denim boat shoes

The idea was to have the hosiery shade complimented with the overall attire.  More will be discussed in the next post so stay tuned!

Full Attire Shootout 1: Offskinshades & Berms

Hello guys
Decided to do a different approach of photographing my outfit while hosed up this evening, hence here it goes.

Found a good space in my cosy home for this shoot.  As I’ve never done this, I decided to go for just a few simple poses and put them together in a collage.  Hosiery shadeswise:I’m doing offskin shades today since it’s something which I have ventured into more after being confident with skintone shades.

Smoky Pearl hosiery attire 1.

This is a pale shade match hence I went with light top, bottoms with footwear color matching the Smoky Pearl shade of my hosiery.

Smoky Pearl hosiery attire 2.

Another variation to go with Smoky Pearl shade hosiery.  The overall color theme is still neutral, hence the berms’ shade came to match with these.

Nutmeg hosiery attire.

This combination gives a warmer touch as the top has a more vibrant color.  Coupled with my favorite Brentwood slimcut grey berms, it goes well with the Nutmeg shade hosiery.
(hyperlink for black top attire shoot) – The overall, dark colored theme hence I’ve brought out the ready to decommission CottonOn Emblem grey canvas top loafers to go with it.  Chocolate shade hosiery goes infor this, but  I’ve never gone out in this shade yet.

(hyperlink for pale blue linen berms with smoky pearl hose attire shoot) – (description) this shade yet.
These shots should give a better view of how the shades will actually look when worn, unlike those close angle shots taken by hand.  Although it was self-taken without a pro photog, I hope it was informative and useful for everyone.

That’s it for Series 1 of my full attire shootout.  I will be touching on another series in the next update, so do keep reading!

Outdoor Hose Report - Softly Smoky

A day which I made through with deprived rest, hence, the best way to reward myself after a mentally challenged day was to go on another offskin shade.
As usual, I brought along several pairs of pantyhose for the afterwork hosewalk, such as Tan, Smoky Pearl.  Under work pants today was Chocolate, which I had considered hosing out in, but since I have discarded that pair of berms which I trailed Chocolate shade in, I decided to use it as just a "work hosiery" which are usually blacks.
Bumped into a female colleague who coincidentally finished work at the same time as me, who was also headed to the book mall near my workplace, which was also the place I had to change in, since I do not want to be spotted by any colleagues should I do it at the Gents at the office building, especially for offskin shades.
Did my change at the available cubicle, slipping into Propeds Sheer Support Pantyhose in Smoky Pearl shade, complete with vertical striped berms at default length, and my new pair of Flips Bare Classic Grey boat shoes; these came in to replace the well worn and badly fitting CottonOn Emblem loafers that served me well.  Walked out as anyone would, passing the handwash area, eatery and patrons passing through the mall.  At the back of my mind, I was wondering if that colleague I bumped into will spot me, but since I didn't see her in my exit route, the walk went on well.  As part of the 'masked look' or the attire look, I usually have sunnies on when I'm in offshades, but since it's broken, I shall just do without it.
Passed the huge library, pedestrians and waited awhile at the traffic light area.  I stood in the inner area, further away from the road side, to avoid sunlight and also any possible glances which could come from all directions as that was probably the last mental bastion from wearing offskin shades.  This is due to the gloomy weather season back then, where the sunlight casted an unfavourable shade to the Smoky Pearls.  But since the sunny season is back, I think this can be done more often.
Walked through the shaded pavement lined with eateries after crossing the junction, while occupied on my phone and taking glances for navigation, I noticed virtually no one was looking at my hosed legs.  Kept walking till I reached a busy junction, just before heading underground to the subway.  No sunnies on, so I had to live with it.  Probably this is a good way to train up offskin shade hose confidence.
Took up the waiting position at one of the busier areas where many could be seen seated, while occupying myself with phone.  I could hear those seated in eyeview busily talking, but decided not to bother if anyone will look at my hosed legs.  Took the train, placing myself at the cabin intersection.  There were a few male commuters sharing that standing area with me but none of them were bothered with what's going on around them.  Transited to the direct line, overtaking and passing oncoming commuters and I guess none of them were looking.  The train ride was alright since it was packed, and everyone was trying to be comfortable in their standing position.
Throughout the escalator journeys, I took the non-express lane to get more outdoor exposure, look and feel natural as part of the hose confidence course.  Soon, I reached the light metro which will bring me home direct, took the regular walking route past schools and neighbourhoods with pedestrians all over.  I didn't want to be bothered if anyone will look, but I noticed the sunlight during this sunnier season, was still healthy even when I was reaching home from a hour's commuting.  That was relief, as what I wanted was the hose to flatter my legs, rather than showing an indifferent shade.
Up the lift, and home James.

Outdoor Hose Report - Labour Hose

A hot Labour Day which most of the day was spent indoors till the weather was cooler in the evening.
Brought partner out for dinner and a simple outing today.   Since it has been awhile since I've done a pale skintone shade hose, today's attire consisted of a white muscle tee with grey trims, light blue linen berms doublerolled, Propeds Elegant All Sheers Sheer to Waist Support Pantyhose, Beige shade and a pair of matching Flips Bare, Denim Blue Pinstripe boat shoes.  Afterall, a pair of light shaded legs should be accompanied by matching attire.  Hose are protected by Model 207 Funfit boat socks.

Took a slow walk to a nearby coffeeshop for dinner; it was of a small seating capacity interior, but cooling enough for the still warm-aired evening.  Walked past oncoming pedestrians, loitering foreign workers at the nearby supermart but no one took noticed of my fairer than normal hosed legs.
Ordered dinner as usual, with hose legs in full view of patrons sitting right outside the stall, but the shade and temperature made the hosed legs unnoticed.  I had to take a brief walk as we occupied the seat farthest away from the stall.

There was a family dining beside us but as they were occupied in their own conversation, and soon took off when they're done, hence no one noticed it.

Took a direct bus to a nearby town, which was split by a highway from where I live, and took a walk in a soon to close all-you-can-find store.  As the store was brightly lit internally with neutral white lights, so are my hosed legs brightly-lit.  Walked through most of the  merchandise rack but found nothing I need, hence headed off to the supermart to do some grocery run.  Everyone was busy with their own shopping at these 2 premises, hence no one took notice.

After the whole trip was done, took the bus in the opposite direction home.  In both directions of the journey, we had to walk to the second half of the bus where seats are available.  During this walk, my hosed legs came in full view of commuters seated in that area, but I didn't bother if anyone was taking a look.  Afterall, it's been quite sometime since I've gone public with hosed legs in skintoneo shade.  The finishing effect of this pair of hose was great; although it's a 20 denier, the finer yarn count made the overall appearance more flattering than the regular support counterpart.

As we took the lift up, my partner commented my legs look very fair and I assured her it was alright.  Probably she's still not used to seeing me in something more deviative in the skintone spectrum of hosiery when we go out together, but that'll just be a matter of time.
